Over 100-years old, the Frederick Seventh-day Adventist Church dates back to 1912 and today has over 900 members and is growing. The church continues to positively impact the Frederick community through outreach programs and participation in community events.
Through our various ministries and interactive activities, we hope you feel connected to our church family and experience God’s love for you.
We have Saturday services according to Sabbath observance. These services are at 8:30 am and 11:00 am. To live stream the 11:00 am service, please click HERE.
Do I need to dress up?
You do not need to dress up. Most people wear business casual or semi-formal attire. We suggest you dress comfortably.
What can I expect during a church service?
Our worship services typically last for 60-90 minutes. We enjoy activities such as singing spiritual songs together, prayer, a sermon, and children’s story. Please feel free to also check us out online HERE.
Do you serve meals following your church services?
Once a month, we have a church-wide fellowship meal for members and guests. As a guest, you are not asked to provide anything. We would love to have you!
What are some of your activities for children?
One of the most popular activities is Vacation Bible School. It’s a free one-week children’s themed experience during the summer to learn more about Jesus and positive life lessons. Check out our Ministries and Events Calendar for more children’s activities and ways to get involved.
Do I have to be a member for my children to participate in Vacation Bible School?
You do not have to be a member for your child to participate in Vacation Bible School. We welcome everyone!
Do you have other activities for children?
Yes, we have Pathfinders and Adventurers Club, which are similar to the Boy and Girl Scouts of America. Additionally, we have weekly Sabbath School lessons for children at 9:45 am on Saturdays. Please email ChurchOffice@FrederickAdventistChurch.orgfor more information.
Becoming a Member:
What is Seventh-day Adventism?
We believe in resting in the work that Jesus Christ has already done for us, accepting His free and abundant grace, and sharing it with each other and the community as we claim the present hope and future reality of His soon return.
Do I have to be a member to participate in communion?
You do not need to be a member. We practice open communion, so anyone who believes in Jesus Christ can participate. We use unleavened bread and 100% grape juice as our emblems to symbolize the body and blood of Christ, our savior, and redeemer.
Do you collect tithes and offerings?
Members can choose if they want to return tithes and offerings. We practice pooling our resources to help enrich ministry activities at the church and in our community.
