Pastor Kochenower was born and raised in South Carolina and attended Southern Adventist University. While taking a year off to be a missionary, Morgan felt God calling him to ministry. Morgan graduated from SAU with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Theology. It was when Pastor Kochenower came back from the mission field that he met Michelle. He also holds a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University. Pastor Kochenower’s greatest experiences have been marriage, parenthood and witnessing people accept Jesus into their hearts. “I see Jesus working in so many ways. I see Jesus working through my wife and her love for me and others; I see Jesus working in my sons with the incredible joy they bring to our family; I see Jesus working every time I go to church and see the wonderful things God is doing in people around me. I believe Jesus is coming back so soon and look forward to the day when my family, friends, and all the children of God are gathered around Jesus’ throne. To God be the Glory.”

J. David Newman began life in Cape Town, South Africa.  Then he lived in Nigeria and Sierrea Leone until he was twelve.  He completed high school in England and Scotland.  He entered college at Newbold, England, and completed his college experience at La Sierra in California.  After seminary at Andrews University he entered ministry in Perth, Scotland.  He later transferred in the Ohio conference and then moved to Maryland and became the editor of Ministry magazine and associate secretray of the Ministerial Association in the General Conference.  He completed a doctor of ministry degree at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.  His last ten years of ministry took place as the senior pastor of the New Hope Seventh-day Adventist church in the Chespeake conference.
He is now a volunteer pastor in the Frederick church and attends the staff meetings.  In addition he participates in church life, visits, gives Bible studies, and condcuts funerals.  He loves the Frederick church and its three pastors.  He finds the church very relational with its two traditional services and its monthly contemporary service.  He hopes the contemporary service will become a weekly service so as to reach the younger generation.  As the church employs both types of service it will reach an even larger group of people.
